For those REALLY trying to save space, small corner computer desks are often the answer. Most are just big enough to hold a PC and can fit snuggly in the corner of almost any small space. Because they’re typically light weight and low budget, small corner computer desks are in high demand for college students and those living in apartments. Two great desks for just the situation are the Coastline Corner Desk and the Apollo Corner Desk. Both of these computer desks are easy to assemble, light weight, and under $200.

Above is the Apollo Corner Desk by Directions East. Weighing in at only 39 pounds, this sleek black desk can fit in just about any small corner space imaginable. It was designed with the student in mind. Perfect for dorm room living and can stand up to quite a bit of wear and tear. The frame is made of metal and the surface areas are made of wood composite. The difficulty level of assembly for this corner computer desk is moderate, making it the only foreseeable drawback. Even simpler in design is the Coastline Corner Desk made by MM International. This desk is made entirely of wood composite, is easy to clean, and designed more for the laptop user in mind. You could fit a desktop computer on the surface, but there probably wouldn’t be much room left over. Being that this corner computer desk is made completely of wood composite, it’s a bit heavier, weighing 50lbs. This also makes it a bit more expensive that the Apollo Corner Desk. As with the Apollo Corner Desk, there are no drawers for storage. You can check out the price and specifications by going here.

My personal preference would be the Apollo Corner Desk. It’s more conveniently constructed for both laptop and desktop pc use. It weighs less and is also lower in price. I think the only thing that would make it better as a space saver is if it had wheels. I also like that it’s constructed with a metal frame as opposed to being entirely constructed of partical board. This would make it more durable in the dorm room, where things might get out of control, as well as around small children. That’s just my two cents though. You be the one to decide.
